Are you a recent college grad thinking about law school?    Would you like to work with one of the top law firms in the US?    If so, R & W Group has a fantastic new entry level opportunity in NY!   One of our favorite law firm clients is looking for a Case Assistant (entry-level paralegal) to support the Trusts, Estates & Tax Practice Group.   This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on legal experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The Case Assistant works closely with attorneys and senior paralegals, providing essential support throughout all phases of a matter—from initial case development through final resolution.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of exhibits and appendices for court filings, depositions, and trials
• Organize and manage paper and electronic documents for use in legal proceedings 
• Maintain case files, indexes, and workrooms to ensure efficient document access and organization 
• Prepare files for off-site storage and manage document retrieval as needed
• Support document collection, review, and production processes 
• Assist with preparation for and attend depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations as assigned 
• File and retrieve documents from courts and government agencies 
• Utilize legal research tools and conduct research using databases and online resources 
• Contribute to departmental projects and provide general support as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree strongly preferred 
• Strong academic record 
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively 
• High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to professionalism and teamwork 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment 
• Proven ability to manage deadlines and handle competing priorities 
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills 
• Flexibility to work overtime and travel as needed
