Are you a medical malpractice paralegal?   Are you tired of working for a small firm?   Would you like to work with a great mid-sized law firm?  One of our favorite law firm clients is looking for a med mal paralegal for their office in Northern VA (just outside DC).   In this role you would:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drafting and reviewing letters, court correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, expert designations and other documents.
• Effectively obtaining, organizing, and managing exhibits and documentation required at various stages of the case, including trial
• Efficiently scheduling depositions, meetings, and court appearances
• Maintaining proactive and regular contact with clients to gather essential information and provide case updates
• Meticulously collecting, reviewing, and updating medical records on a regular basis

Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice or personal injury
• Possessing or demonstrating the willingness and aptitude to acquire knowledge in medicine and dentistry pertinent to case matters, enabling thorough and substantive contribution to case development and litigation processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort and skill in speaking with clients
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to effectively use other litigation software.
• Proven legal research skills; proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis or Westlaw is preferred

Salary range of $80 – 90K (DOE) plus great benefits including health insurance.    You must have strong research, writing, and analytic skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.  The firm offers a hybrid working environment for employees when appropriate.
