Are you a Business Intelligence Analyst? Would you like to work remotely for a top law firm? If so, R & W Group has a fantastic new opportunity! One of our favorite law firm clients is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst. You can live in one of 23 states. You MUST be in the US. In this role, you would be responsible for the analysis, transformation, and visualization of firm data to create reports and actionable insights for firm departments and Practice Groups including Legal Practice Groups, Human Resources, Information Technology, Practice Innovation, and Executive Leadership teams.
This position will develop and manage reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, SQL Server, and the M365 office productivity platform as well as core firm systems as part of the IT team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining dynamic dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI to analyze key business metrics.
- Utilizing T-SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from multiple sources, ensuring effective use of our databases.
- Providing actionable insights based on in-depth data analysis to inform strategic decisions and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborating with Practice Group leaders, administrative departments, and executive management to identify and address key reporting needs.
- Developing automated reporting processes using Microsoft 365 office platforms.
- Collaborating with IT Enterprise Applications team members to streamline and automate data collection and processing.
- Identifying opportunities to streamline data collection and reporting processes to foster continuous improvement.
- Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Supporting decision-making processes by providing clear, actionable insights.
- Conducting ad-hoc analysis and participating in special projects as requested by firm leadership.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for data sources, methodologies, and processes used to create reports and visualizations.
- Working with the training team to develop appropriate application training resources for end-users.
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree required, equivalent work experience considered.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the design and implementation of business intelligence reports and dashboards.
- Law firm or professional services firm experience a plus.
- Minimum of three (3) years of proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for data visualization and dashboarding and T-SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft M365 and/or related software.
- Ability to produce clear and concise business documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements and processes into easily understandable visualizations.
- Ability to work independently, under time constraints, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility with work assignments.

- Ability to demonstrate strategic focus.

- The following experience and knowledge would be a plus:
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and database management.
- Knowledge of data related programming languages (Python, R, .NET platform, Boomi) and additional BI tools.
- Experience with Azure Data Services / Azure Fabric.
- Experience with UKG.
- Experience with systems specific to the Legal Industry, such as Aderant Expert and Intapp Time.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $127,000 to $155,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
