Spire Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Property Manager with one to two years of real estate experience to join a well-established residential property management team in Melbourne’s CBD.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has developed a sound foundation in property management, leasing or reception and is now ready to grow their skills in a dedicated support role. You will work closely with experienced Property Managers, gain exposure to the full portfolio lifecycle and be supported to develop into a confident Property Manager over time.
Based in a vibrant CBD office, this role offers variety, mentoring and a positive team culture.

The role:
As Assistant Property Manager, you will provide day-to-day support to the property management team while developing your knowledge across all areas of residential property management.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Property Managers with the management of residential rental portfolios
• Responding to renter and rental provider enquiries professionally and promptly
• Coordinating maintenance requests, obtaining quotes and following up with tradespeople
• Assisting with routine inspections, entry condition reports and exit condition reports
• Preparing lease renewals, rent reviews, notices and general tenancy correspondence
• Supporting arrears management and maintaining accurate tenancy records
• Updating the database, property files and compliance documentation
• Assisting with leasing administration, applications and tenancy paperwork
• Providing general administration and team support as required

About you:
You will be personable, organised and motivated to build a long-term career in residential property management.
To be successful, you will ideally have:

• One to two years’ experience in real estate, property management, leasing, reception or administration
• A current Victorian Agents Representative Certificate or Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice
• Strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• A professional and service-focused approach with renters, rental providers and tradespeople
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work well in a busy environment
• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and genuine team mindset
• Experience using property management software would be advantageous, but is not essential
