Commercial Trust Accountant
South Melbourne

A great opportunity is available for an experienced Commercial Trust Accountant to join a growing real estate business in South Melbourne. This role will suit someone who enjoys ownership of the trust function, takes pride in accuracy and compliance, and wants to be part of a business in its growth phase where their contribution will be genuinely valued.

Working within a commercial property environment, this position will see you take responsibility for day-to-day trust accounting across the business using Cirrus8. It is well suited to a trust professional who is confident working autonomously, enjoys creating structure, and can bring a calm, detail-focused approach to a developing agency environment.

The role:

• Manage the day-to-day trust accounting function for a commercial real estate business
• Process receipting, payments and daily trust transactions accurately and on time
• Complete trust reconciliations and maintain compliance with relevant legislation and procedures
• Work across commercial property trust processes using Cirrus8
• Support the wider team with trust-related queries and reporting
• Help maintain strong internal processes as the business continues to grow

About you:

• Previous trust accounting experience within real estate, ideally commercial property
• Confidence using Cirrus8, or strong trust systems experience with the ability to step in quickly
• High attention to detail and a strong understanding of trust compliance obligations
• Able to work independently and manage priorities in a growing business environment
• Professional, reliable and comfortable being the go-to person for the trust function
• Looking for a long-term, full-time opportunity
