Join a well-established commercial property business in Melbourne’s inner west and take ownership of a busy trust accounting function supporting a quality property portfolio. This is a terrific opportunity for an experienced trust accountant or property accounts professional who enjoys structure, accuracy and being a key part of a high-performing commercial property team.

Working closely with property managers and senior leadership, you will be responsible for the day-to-day trust accounting and financial administration across a commercial portfolio. The role requires someone who is organised, reliable and confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and compliance.

The role:
Your responsibilities will include:

• Daily trust account receipting and reconciliations.
• Processing rent, outgoings and creditor payments.
• Arrears reporting and account follow-up.
• End of month reporting and general account administration.
• Preparing statements and supporting property managers with financial queries.
• Managing bond and bank guarantee records where required.
• Maintaining compliance with trust accounting procedures and legislation.
• Assisting with ad hoc administration and finance support across the portfolio.

The person To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in trust accounting within commercial real estate, property, or a related industry.
• Strong reconciliation skills and excellent attention to detail.
• A sound understanding of trust accounting processes and compliance.
• The ability to work independently while also supporting a broader team.
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach.
• Experience with property software such as PropertyMe, Goat, MYOB or similar would be well regarded, although system training can be provided depending on your background.
