About the Role 
As an important team member in our Governance & Corporate Services team, the Finance Manager reports directly to the Business Leader (Finance & Governance) and provides support and guidance to each business unit and the Executive Leadership Team. 

The role involves the analytical review of monthly results and project performance and to maintain best-practice budget and forecast financial models.   

The Finance Manager is expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with business operations teams ensuring financial reports and analytics are accurate and delivered within the required timeframes. 

Key responsibilities include:  

• Ensure all accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions are raised via the accounting system 
• Oversee bank reconciliations and credit applications for suppliers  
• Review and signoff on payroll  
• Provide Cashflow reports and 12 week rolling forecasts 
• Organise ATO PAYG lodgements and payment  
• Review job/project trading analysis and provide commentary  
• Prepare monthly financial reports to meet Board reporting requirements  
• Maintain a register of bank guarantees issued and held 
• Review Month End supporting information and assist with any changes 
• Preparation of BAS and PAYG Returns – Ensure all ATO filings have been lodged and paid on time including PAYG reporting and FBT 
• Annual budget preparation & consolidation 

 
Skills | Experience | Qualifications 
The successful applicant will demonstrate a proactive approach in delivering strong governance across the corporate finance function. Proven, high-level communication and engagement skills will be required together with a continuous improvement mindset. 

Key requirements include: 

• Qualified CPA/Chartered Accountant with demonstrated corporate experience 
• High level MS Excel skills capable of developing and maintaining budget/forecasting models 
• Accounting systems migration and implementation experience 
• Strong system development, including procedures, process workflows and systems implementation  
• Capable of leading and engaging with the CPM team in a collaborative and coaching style 
• Ability to understand operational requirements and align with financial reporting 
• Hands-on with attention to detail 
• Performance leadership with a focus on cost management, governance and collaboration with business units 
• Down to earth and enjoy working in a busy environment.
