Endurance's Abra Mine is located approximately 220km north of Meekatharra, in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The underground mine represents one of the world's cleanest and largest lead-silver projects.
 
The Opportunity
 
We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent (Fixed Plant) to join our Processing team at Abra Mine Site. Reporting to the Processing Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination, compliance and leadership of the maintenance function, leading a team of seven that includes Maintenance and Electrical Supervisors, Planners/Schedulers and a Reliability Engineer.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration across maintenance, processing and contractors
• Coordinate with the Processing Superintendent, Supervisors and Planners to plan and deliver efficient maintenance shutdowns
• Develop, own and manage the maintenance budget, controlling costs and spares inventory
• Champion the use of Pronto CMMS for all maintenance work, ensuring work orders and PMs are accurately recorded and closed out
• Ensure statutory compliance for Classified Plant and regulated equipment, and the integrity of record keeping
• Analyse and report on costs, man-hours, wear trends and maintenance performance
• Manage capital works and improvement projects from initiation to completion
• Manage contractors and suppliers, ensuring statutory compliance and regularly reviewing agreements
• Lead a safe workplace and culture, and drive continuous improvement across the processing department

What You'll Bring

• A background in electrical maintenance (preferred)
• Demonstrated experience generating budgets and forecasts
• Experience in risk management, dependability management and maintenance strategies
• Experience working with and managing a business CMMS
• Well-developed influencing, communication and consultation skills
• Capacity to handle complex situations and make decisions under pressure
• High emotional intelligence, and an inspiring, high-energy leadership style that empowers the team
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Essential Requirements

• Relevant trade qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent within the mining industry
• Meets the requirements of S26 under the WHS (Mines) Regulations
• In-depth understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
• Advanced computer literacy, including CMMS systems and software
• Demonstrated leadership experience and capability
• Current 'C' Class Western Australian driver's licence
