We are seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join our dynamic environment with leading industry professionals and leaders who value and care for their people. You will have the wingspan and autonomy to enact change and deliver on your initiatives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Actively promote, monitor and enforce safe work practices with unwavering commitment to safety
- Provide direction and leadership to the Engineering team, developing high-performing teams
- Mentor engineering personnel in industry best practices and ensure comprehensive workplace inductions
- Develop mining strategies and forecasts in collaboration with geologists, geotechnical, and production teams
- Oversee preparation of short, medium, and long-term development plans and schedules
- Supervise preparation of mine development instructions and coordinate with contractors for optimal performance
- Manage compilation of Life of Mine plans and ensure safe, economic target delivery
- Analyse and report on mining performance with weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify cost control opportunities
- Conduct incident investigations and ensure compliance with WA Mines Safety regulations
What you'll bring - Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
- Minimum 5 years underground mining experience with technical and management skills
- Proven experience with long hole open stoping and paste fill operations
- Advanced proficiency in mine planning software, Deswik preferred
- Demonstrated leadership experience with contractor management
- Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills
- High emotional intelligence with ability to handle complex situations under pressure
- Natural collaborative leader focused on team development and safety promotion
- Advanced computer literacy and thorough understanding of WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act
Essential requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
- Statutory S26 Certification
- Current 'C' Class Western Australian driver's license
- Minimum 5 years underground mining experience
Highly desirable: - WA First Class Mine Managers Ticket
