The Opportunity
Nexia Sydney is expanding, and we are looking to bring on a new Tax Manager.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Tax professional looking to take the next step in their career.
The Tax Manager is responsible for assisting in managing the Director’s client base, providing innovative solutions and advice in meeting a client’s individual business needs. The successful candidate will be joining a team culture where open conversations, a desire to learn and develop will ensure a great future and career at Nexia.
The role
- Meet client’s needs by building a demonstrated understanding of their business and highlighting areas/strategies to benefit the client
- Develop solutions and provide advice designed to improve processes, reduce expense or enhance income growth
- Meet the client’s needs by developing an understanding of their business and the commercial environment in which they operate
- Build on existing networks in order to refer work back to Nexia locally and internationally
- Identify other services that Nexia Australia can offer and relay information/ideas to the client
About youThe successful candidate will fulfil the following criteria:
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in a Chartered firm
- Completed a related degree in accounting and further study, such as the Chartered
Accountants Program or any other study/course that would benefit the team - Excellent understanding of tax standards and reporting responsibilities, with the ability to
pass this knowledge onto others - Expert in technical issues such as changes to legislation and/or its application, changes in
reporting requirements, etc - Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to challenge ideas respectfully
- Builds long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients
