About the role:
As a Senior Manager, you will play an important role in managing and delivering high-quality advice to our diverse client portfolio. As one of our leaders, you will be responsible for overseeing client engagements and managing a team of dedicated accountants. You will be involved in strategic planning and business development projects, working closely with the Partners to drive Nexia’s growth and success.

Your Focus:

• Managing your team and workflow
• Reviewing and finalising financial statements, tax returns, and compliance obligations
• Training and mentoring junior accountants, fostering their professional development
• Leading business advisory projects, including financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, and business structuring advice
• Ensuring excellence in the provision of service to our clients
• Managing a client portfolio of 1.6 million or above 
• Budget management, ensuring the team meets budgets and deadlines

You have:

• Have a minimum of 8 years' experience in a chartered firm; preferably Big 4 or Mid-Tier
• Completed a degree in accounting/finance and the CA/CPA program or any further study that would benefit the team
• Being well experienced in using accounting software including APS, FYI and cloud based tools, e.g. Xero, QuickBooks
• Great knowledge of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities, with the ability to pass this knowledge onto others
• Excellent research skills and able to accurately interpret taxation and other relevant legislation and rulings

The details:

• Full-time preferable, ongoing role based in Melbourne
• Hybrid role
• Start date will ideally be around July/Auguts but we’re flexible
