We have a current opportunity for an experienced Employment Tax Advisor (Senior Accountant) to join our Business Advisory division. The position will be primarily focused on employment tax related matters for our clients.

The Role

Reporting directly to a Partner, you’ll play a key role in delivering strategic employment tax advice to a diverse client base. In this advisory-focused position, you will:

• Provide expert guidance on payroll tax, superannuation obligations, PAYG withholding and FBT compliance and planning
• Conduct payroll and employment tax compliance reviews and assist with SGC remediation strategies
• Advise on employee share schemes and identify tax risks and opportunities for clients
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and a commercial understanding of their business
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify value-add opportunities across Nexia’s service lines
• Support process improvement, cost efficiency, and income growth initiatives through tailored business consulting
• Maintain a high level of professionalism while delivering timely, client-focused outcomes

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

• A relevant degree and CA/CPA qualification
• 3-5 years prior business advisory/ tax experience;
• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with firm-wide systems such as APS, MYOB, and Xero
