My client is seeking an experienced and people-focused People & Culture Business Partner to support their teams across Tasmania, based at either Launceston or Hobart. In this role, you’ll work closely with leaders and team members to deliver on all things people and culture. From employee relations and leadership capability to workforce planning and recruitment.
Your mission? To ensure the client’s people are supported, engaged, and empowered so that the business can achieve its strategic goals.

What you’ll be doing
As the People & Culture Business Partner, you will:

• Provide advice and guidance to leaders and team members on employee relations, P&C policies, and workplace issues.
• Educate and communicate P&C systems, processes, and initiatives that support the client’s teams and align with the wider organisational culture.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation and workplace policies.
• Partner with leaders on performance management, talent identification, and succession planning.
• Support the delivery of remuneration, benefits, and recognition programs to attract and retain top talent.
• Identify training and development needs and contribute to capability-building initiatives.
• Drive leadership capability across the client’s teams and leadership groups.
• Contribute to strategic workforce planning and provide pragmatic P&C solutions.
• Respond to enquiries regarding awards, policies, and procedures.
• Support end-to-end recruitment activities where required.

What we’re looking for
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a P&C/HR Business Partnering role in a dynamic environment.
• Strong grounding in employee relations, learning & development, recruitment, and performance management.
• Proven ability to translate P&C strategy into practical, business-focused solutions.
• High level of business acumen with a down-to-earth and commercial approach.
• Excellent influencing, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Experience working with HRIS, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and reporting tools.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
