Sales Coordinator
Location: Staffordshire
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (dependent upon experience)
Working Hours: Mon to Thurs 8:00am - 5:00pm | Fri 8:00am - 4:00pm | Office Based
 
The Role
 
Talent Build Solutions are looking for an experienced Sales Coordinator to join our growing construction business and support the estimating and commercial functions.
This is a varied role, combining sales coordination, customer relationship management, business development and bid / tender support. You will play a key role in managing enquiries from initial contact through to quotation and follow-up.
Working closely with the estimating team, you will maintain our CRM system, coordinate quotations, identify new business opportunities and assist with the preparation of tenders and pre-qualification submissions.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience within the construction industry, with great communication skills, experience of client relationship management, preparing and progressing quotes, and some experience of assisting the bid preparation process.
 
What you'll be doing

• Manage and maintain all sales enquiries, leads, prospects and opportunities within the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.
• Coordinate the sales pipeline, ensuring enquiries and opportunities are progressed from initial enquiry through to quotation and outcome.
• Liaise closely with the estimating team to monitor quotations, deadlines and customer requirements.
• Liaise with customers and the estimating team to resolve queries.
• Produce regular pipeline and sales reports.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets.
• Monitor Find a Tender Service (FTS), Contracts Finder and relevant construction and procurement portals to identify suitable projects and tender opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, public sector organisations, contractors and other relevant partners.
• Assist with the preparation and coordination of tender submissions including method statements, company policies, social value responses and supporting documentation.

About You

• Previous experience within the construction industry.
• Experience in a Sales Coordinator, Sales Administrator, Bid Preparation, Estimating Administrator or similar role.
• Experience using a CRM system.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Confidence communicating and building relationships with customers, suppliers, local authorities and other stakeholders.
• Experience of assisting with tenders, PQQs, method statements, policies or social value submissions would be advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
