Hire Controller
Construction Industry | £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Location: West Midlands
 
We are looking for an organised and proactive Hire Controller to join our client within the construction industry.
This is an office-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced working environment, has excellent communication skills and can build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
 
The Role
 
As a Hire Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day hire of construction equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly from initial enquiry through to off-hire.

• Managing incoming hire enquiries and customer bookings
• Coordinating equipment deliveries and collections
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, drivers and site teams
• Monitoring equipment availability and utilisation
• Processing hire paperwork and maintaining accurate records
• Arranging extensions, off-hires and equipment movements
• Resolving customer queries and dealing with issues efficiently
• Providing excellent customer service at all times

About You
 
We are looking for someone who is:

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident communicating with customers and colleagues
• Able to work under pressure in a busy environment
• Comfortable using computer systems and Microsoft Office
• Proactive, reliable and able to use their own initiative
• Experienced within plant, tool or equipment hire (desirable but not essential)

• Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm
