Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Survey
Salary: To £80k (depending on experience) + car/car allowance + fuel + benefits
Location:  South Midlands
 
A leading subcontractor is looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor.  This company is a strong, profitable organisation with a reputation based on quality work and high calibre teams. 
 
You'll be an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor capable of managing costs and key relationships with established clients and local projects.

What you'll be doing:

You'll take commercial responsibility across all stages of projects through to final accounts, ensuring cost efficiency, risk management, and strong client relationships.  

• Preparing and submitting accurate valuations, variations and final accounts
• Cost control, forecasting, and budget management
• Liaising with site teams and project managers to monitor progress and costs
• Procuring subcontractors and managing their packages
• Conducting site visits to assess ongoing work and compliance
• Ensuring contractual and commercial compliance with project requirements
• Preparing monthly cost/value reconciliation and forecasting reports

About you:

• Significant Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering
• Strong knowledge of contracts and cost management
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
• Industry recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying is desirable but not essential (or equivalent experience)
