We're looking for a Trainee Machine Engineer to join a market-leading civil engineering contractor renowned for delivering innovative infrastructure projects valued up to £50 million.
As a Trainee Machine Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our machine control systems perform at their best across our fleet of excavators and plant equipment. You'll be passionate about technology, engineering, and solving problems. You'll enjoy working hands-on and want to be part of major infrastructure projects that shape communities.
You'll work closely with site teams, operators, engineers, and project managers, providing technical expertise and support to maximise productivity and accuracy on site. What You'll Be Doing - Installing, configuring, and calibrating machine control systems on excavators and other plant
- Providing on-site technical support and troubleshooting for operators and site teams
- Working alongside engineers and project managers to ensure systems meet project requirements
- Carrying out routine maintenance, diagnostics, and performance checks
- Supporting the implementation of new technologies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining accurate records of installations, updates, and service activities
- Training operators and site teams to get the most from machine control technology
- Helping drive innovation and digital construction across the business
