Assistant Estimator 
Salary £45k to £55k + car allow. (depending on experience)
Full Time | Permanent

A well-established construction company is continuing to grow and is now looking to appoint an Assistant Estimator to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the early stages of their estimating or quantity surveying construction career who is keen to learn, develop, and progress within a supportive and experienced business.
 
You'll work closely with senior estimators and the wider commercial team, gaining hands-on exposure to pricing tenders across a range of projects.
 
The Role

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and tenders for projects
• Measure quantities from drawings and specifications
• Help obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Support senior team members with tender submissions and pricing documents
• Learn to identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options
• Maintain accurate records of pricing and tender information
• Work alongside pre-construction and delivery teams to understand project handovers

About You

• A genuine interest in estimating
• Experience as a Trainee/Assistant/Graduate Quantity Surveyor or Estimator (or similar)
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings (or a strong willingness to learn)
• Good numerical skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and IT systems
• Organised, motivated, and keen to develop a long-term career in estimating
• Driving licence and ability to travel between sites
