A well-established construction company with substantial expertise in their specific field, is expanding and looking for an experienced Civils Estimator to join their team.  They are looking for an Estimator with a strong background in groundworks, highways, and Section 278 works to join a highly competent commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven professional to play a key role in pricing and securing a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for groundworks, highways, and S278 schemes.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documents to produce detailed cost estimates.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and programme requirements.
• Work closely with the Pre-Construction and Delivery teams to ensure seamless project handover.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, construction techniques, and industry standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Estimator within civil engineering, particularly highways, roads, and Section 278 works.
• Strong understanding of groundworks, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure construction.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel essential).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with accuracy.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
• Well-organised, commercially aware, and able to work to deadlines.
