EQT is investing in the future of its cyber security capability, and this newly created Cyber Security Analyst role is central to that. You'll play a key role in our day-to-day security operations. Monitoring threats, supporting incident response, managing vulnerabilities, and helping to keep EQT's systems, data, and services protected. Working closely with our Cyber Security Lead and a collaborative technology team, you'll contribute to a growing function where your work has real impact. Whether you're investigating an alert, tracking a vulnerability through to remediation, or supporting an audit evidence request, what you do here genuinely matters.
What you'll do:
- Monitor and triage security alerts, investigate security events, and support incident response activities including evidence gathering, containment, and remediation tracking
- Support vulnerability management processes across infrastructure, endpoints, cloud services, and applications — including scan review, risk-based prioritisation, and remediation coordination
- Assist with identity and access governance activities, including access reviews, privileged access management, and remediation of identity-related risks
- Support the operation and tuning of security tools including Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Rapid7, and SOC platforms
- Prepare and maintain cyber security documentation, evidence registers, playbooks, and reporting to support audits, third-party cyber risk assessments, due diligence, and regulatory reviews
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Modern Workplace, Application Support, and Technology Risk Governance teams to drive security outcomes and continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed: - Experience supporting cyber security operations, including alert triage, incident investigation, evidence gathering, escalation, and remediation tracking
- Hands-on experience using security platforms such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Rapid7, vulnerability management platforms, SIEM technologies, and managed SOC services to investigate, prioritise and remediate security risks.
- Practical experience administering and supporting identity and access management controls including Entra ID, Privileged Identity Management, Conditional Access, privileged access governance and least privilege models.
- Demonstrated experience managing vulnerability remediation activities, including scan review, risk-based prioritisation, stakeholder engagement, exception management and reporting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain security issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience supporting supplier assurance, cyber due diligence, audit activities, or third-party cyber risk management processes is highly regarded.
- A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience; relevant certifications such as SC-200, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent are highly regarded
