We're looking for a Credit Analyst - Fixed Income to join our Asset Management team, where you'll play a key role in supporting the management of our diversified fixed income portfolios. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to investment outcomes by analysing bond issuers, assessing credit risk, and providing actionable recommendations to Portfolio Managers.
 
Working closely with our experienced Fixed Income team, you'll conduct in-depth credit research across Australian and global corporate issuers, helping to identify investment opportunities while supporting strong risk management and portfolio performance.  
 
What you'll do:

• Conduct fundamental credit analysis across Australian and global corporate issuers within investment-grade sectors, assessing financial strength, liquidity, leverage, profitability and cash flow generation
• Develop and maintain internal credit ratings, investment recommendations, and relative value assessments to support portfolio decision-making
• Analyse business models, competitive positioning, industry dynamics, capital structures and debt issuance activities to identify investment opportunities and risks [
• Support the construction and management of fixed income portfolios in line with investment objectives, risk parameters and portfolio guidelines
• Monitor portfolio exposures and identify emerging credit risks, improving credit trends and sector opportunities through ongoing spread and scenario analysis
• Contribute to portfolio reviews, performance attribution, stress testing and investment committee discussions
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support the consistent implementation of investment views across funds and client portfolios
• Ensure all investment activities comply with relevant regulatory obligations, internal policies and risk frameworks

What you'll need to succeed:

• Experience in credit analysis, preferably within investment management, fixed income research or financial markets environments
• Strong financial modelling, financial statement analysis and valuation skills
• Knowledge of fixed income markets, interest rate products and the key drivers influencing credit performance 
• Strong numerical and analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and draw sound investment conclusions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations clearly and persuasively  
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively  
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline
• CFA designation or progress toward CFA qualifications will be highly regarded
