Are you a commercially driven business development professional with deep funds management expertise and a passion for building trusted client relationships? We're looking for a Senior Manager, Business Development to join our Corporate and Superannuation Trustee Services (CSTS) team, where you'll play a key role in driving growth across our Funds Services business, with a particular focus on Real Assets and Custody.
In this client-facing role, you'll identify and convert new business opportunities, develop strategic relationships across the financial services sector, and provide tailored solutions to domestic and international asset managers seeking to establish retail and wholesale funds in Australia. You'll work closely with internal experts and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional client outcomes while achieving ambitious growth targets.
What you'll do:
- Generate new business opportunities and achieve annual revenue targets across Funds Services, with a focus on Responsible Entity, Wholesale Trustee, Real Assets and Custody offerings
- Build and maintain strong relationships with asset managers, referrers, service providers, solicitors, advisers, and other key industry stakeholders
- Act as a trusted adviser, understanding client objectives and providing tailored solutions for retail and wholesale fund structures in Australia
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding, service delivery, and adherence to service level agreements and compliance frameworks
- Drive sales activity through effective pipeline management, maintaining accurate records in Salesforce and identifying opportunities to cross-sell Equity Trustees services
- Contribute to business growth strategies, market initiatives, and continuous improvement projects while maintaining a strong understanding of industry developments and legislative requirements
What you'll need to succeed: - Demonstrated experience in business development within the financial services industry, with a strong track record of achieving commercial outcomes
- Extensive knowledge of the funds management industry, particularly financial assets and real assets; exposure to additional asset classes will be highly regarded
- At least 5 years' experience in financial services, including a minimum of 3 years in a similar client-facing business development role
- Proven ability to develop and maintain influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders across complex and highly regulated environments
- Strong commercial acumen, excellent presentation and communication skills, and a customer-centric approach to delivering outcomes
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related discipline, along with a continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail
