We are currently seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our growing team. Based in Sydney, this full-time role is focused on expanding Equity Trustees' portfolio of philanthropic clients and promoting our deep expertise in providing philanthropy solutions to individuals, families, corporate funders as well as the for-purpose sector.
Reporting to the General Manager, Private Wealth & Partnerships, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new client leads, building strategic relationships, and positioning Equity Trustees as a trusted specialist in all areas of structured giving. You'll work closely with philanthropists, advisers, intermediaries, and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that help clients to give with purpose.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who brings a strong business development mindset, a passion for philanthropy, the ability to promote the power of structured giving, authenticity and a solid understanding of the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business activity across philanthropic structures including, Giving Funds, Private Ancillary Funds, Charitable Trusts, Corporate Foundations and NFP Investment Management
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with intermediaries such as advisers, lawyers, accountants, and for-purpose sector stakeholders
- Represent EQT at industry events, conferences, and panels, to enhance visibility and brand reputation
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes and cross-BU initiatives
- Supporting existing and future NFP Investment mandate clients, including contributing to pitches, tenders and sharing of general philanthropic knowledge
- Promote adoption of EQT pitch decks, Salesforce, and internal processes
- Content development and curation of Thought leadership insights to support communications with prospective and existing philanthropic clients
- Deliver thought leadership activities
- Produce quarterly reporting on outcomes
- Maintain strong compliance practices and contribute to risk management
What you'll need to succeed: - Sound experience in business development within financial services, professional services or the philanthropic sector
- Strong understanding of structured giving products
- A solid network and understanding of the for-purpose landscape
- Ability to build strategic relationships and communicate with influence
- Commercial acumen and a client-first mindset
- Confidence in public speaking and representing EQT's offering
- Relevant Tertiary qualification
- RG146 compliance (preferred but not essential)
