We are currently seeking a Paraplanner to join our Trustee & Wealth Services (TWS) Advice team. Reporting to the Manager, Paraplanning, this role provides high-quality support to EQT Financial Advisers through the preparation of Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs), and financial modelling.
This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge in financial planning and investments, who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering quality advice outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare SOAs and ROAs in line with EQT's Quality Assurance Program.
- Conduct financial product research and comparisons to meet client best interests.
- Undertake financial modelling using financial planning software.
- Collaborate with Financial Advisers to develop strategies and recommendations.
- Contribute to process improvements and maintain procedure documentation.
- Maintain compliance with ASIC and Trustee Act requirements.
- Share knowledge and support capability development within the paraplanning team.
What You'll Need to Succeed - Minimum 3 years' experience in a paraplanning role.
- Strong understanding of investment strategies, superannuation (including SMSFs), and financial planning standards.
- Sound knowledge of ASIC compliance requirements.
- Experience using Xplan is essential.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
- Strong client and business focus with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Financial Planning qualifications (mandatory).
- Tertiary qualifications in business, finance or related field (desirable).
- Membership in a relevant professional association (preferred).
