We are currently seeking a Risk Manager to join our Enterprise Risk team. Reporting to the General Manager – Enterprise Risk, this role is central to the delivery and maturity of our risk management framework, including facilitation of risk workshops, leading the 2nd line control assurance program, and producing reporting into Board and risk committees.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Risk Manager who thrives in partnering with stakeholders, is proactive in identifying opportunities, and wants to influence how risk is managed across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate business unit risk workshops and critically review risk and control profiles
• Lead the 2nd line control assurance program, including execution of Control Self-Assessments and testing
• Support oversight of KRIs and provide analysis and reporting into management and committees
• Oversee remediation and closure of risk management related issues
• Coordinate Management Risk & Compliance Committee agendas and reporting
• Lead oversight of the EQT policy framework, ensuring timely reviews and continuous improvement
• Partner with stakeholders to embed and uplift enterprise risk practices

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce (Risk Management or Finance desirable)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an operational Risk Manager
• Strong knowledge of controls assurance and governance in a regulated environment (APRA, ASIC, ACNC, OAIC, AFCA etc.)
• Financial services experience, ideally across funds management, asset management, or superannuation
• Strong numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Proactive, flexible, and curious mindset with a desire to continuously improve
