We are seeking a values-driven Coordinator with a deep passion for philanthropy and the for-purpose sector to play a key role in supporting the operational efficiency of the Active Philanthropy team. This team works alongside the Charitable Trust, Community (Indigenous) Trust, and Social Impact teams to foster impactful giving.
The primary purpose of this role is to manage critical administrative and operational tasks, enabling philanthropists and their families to give effectively while enhancing community impact. Your contributions will ensure an exceptional, responsive experience for both clients and beneficiaries from the for-purpose sector. Success in this role will directly contribute to high client and stakeholder satisfaction, improved team performance, strong commercial outcomes, and the effective distribution of philanthropic funds.
Reporting to the National Manager, Active Philanthropy, this role will be central to the Philanthropy & Community Trustee Services team, which oversees the distribution of approximately $110 million annually to drive positive social change across Australia. You will work closely with key Relationship Managers, providing comprehensive support to the Active Philanthropy team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key member of the Active Philanthropy team, contributing to the broader philanthropy efforts.
- Implement and maintain efficient backend processes while delivering high-quality client servicing and assisting with general administrative tasks.
- Serve as the operational lead for key technology platforms, including the Philanthropy Portal and Salesforce.
- Manage all external stakeholders within your portfolio, including philanthropists, next-generation successors, and advisory panel members.
- Collaborate closely with the Social Impact and Charitable Trust teams, as well as the core Operations team, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Work across internal business units to meet all portfolio objectives and obligations to a high standard.
- Support the Active Philanthropy team with marketing, event coordination, business development, compliance, governance, and grant distribution tasks.
- Attend relevant meetings, events, and stakeholder engagements with both internal teams and external partners and beneficiaries.
What You'll Need to Succeed - Demonstrated effective organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proven team administration experience would be highly regarded.
- Good project management/coordination skills.
- Sound oral and written communication skills.
- Strong ICT skills including excellent Microsoft office skills and familiarity with platforms/ databases/CRMs (experience with Salesforce would be well regarded).
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Collaborative, team player approach.
- Experience of philanthropy or willingness to upskill quickly in this area.
- Tertiary qualifications in philanthropy, social investment, or social impact.
