We're looking for an experienced and technically exceptional Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative new products. Reporting into the R&D team, you'll take ownership of complex engineering projects from concept through to production release, while providing technical guidance and mentorship to Design Engineers across the business.

What you'll be doing

• Lead complex product development projects from concept to production release.
• Create detailed, manufacturable designs and engineering documentation using SolidWorks.
• Apply DFM, DFS and sustainability principles throughout the design process.
• Lead prototyping, testing and validation to ensure performance, quality and reliability.
• Drive design reviews and DFMEA activities to identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure designs meet global compliance, certification and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, compliance and project teams.
• Mentor Design Engineers and provide technical leadership across the NPD team.
• Drive continuous improvement in product performance, reliability and engineering standards.

  About you

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive product design and development experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced SolidWorks skills, including complex assemblies and technical documentation.
• Strong knowledge of prototyping, testing, validation and DFMEA methodologies.
• Experience designing for manufacture, compliance and certification.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and improvement.
• Passion for mentoring and developing engineering capability.
