Platform Engineer
Our client is CreAIt, a fast-growing technology company building a modern platform for commercial real estate transactions and brokerage operations. They are seeking a Platform Engineer to design and operate the infrastructure that powers their platform.
Role Overview
We are hiring a Platform Engineer to design and operate the infrastructure that powers CreAIt's platform.
You will build and manage cloud architecture, deployment automation, and operational systems that support backend services, AI workflows, outreach automation engines, and internal brokerage tools.
This role is primarily DevOps and infrastructure-focused but requires exposure to backend systems to support API services, application deployments, and engineering workflows.
As an early engineering hire, you will help design and build the platform architecture from the ground up while working in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines and evolving product requirements. The role requires strong ownership and the ability to operate across infrastructure and engineering boundaries.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and maintain cloud infrastructure architecture supporting CreAIt's platform
- Lead migration of infrastructure and services from GCP to AWS
- Implement secure storage architecture using S3 and object storage patterns
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and required provisioning
- Implement Infrastructure as Code for repeatable and version-controlled environments
- Maintain systems that support autoscaling, reliability, and high availability
- Manage centralized logging, monitoring, observability, and alerting systems
- Implement identity and access management policies and role-based access control
- Support the deployment and operation of REST API services and backend systems
- Design and different environments for development, staging, and production
- Support event-driven workflows, async jobs, schedulers, multi-tenancy, and webhook systems
- Improve developer productivity through automation and internal platform tooling
- Optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Maintain technical documentation and perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents
Required Qualifications - 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles
- Strong experience operating cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
- Experience designing scalable cloud architecture and infrastructure systems
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK, etc)
- Experience with container platforms
- Experience implementing logging, monitoring, and operational tooling
- Experience with Git-based workflows and GitHub repository management
- Scripting or programming experience
- Exposure to backend systems and REST API infrastructure
- Comfort working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
- Ability to wear multiple hats across infrastructure and engineering workflows
Nice to Have - Experience supporting VM-based or containerized backend services
- Experience working with Node.js or Python backend services
- Experience supporting React-based application deployments
- Experience supporting AI or LLM workloads
- Experience with RAG systems, PostgreSQL, or SQL databases
- Experience implementing webhook infrastructure and IP or subnet whitelisting
- Experience managing secrets and secure key management systems
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues
- Experience building internal developer platforms or engineering tooling
- Experience working in early-stage startup environments
- Commercial real estate domain familiarity
