Outstanding opportunity for an ACA or ACCA 1st or 2nd time practice trained finance professional to join a £250m t/o award winning group as Financial Accountant. Joining the business in a newly created role you will support the Finance Director and Financial Controller in establishing a modern/sophisticated, future-proof financial accounting/controls environment to meet the evolving needs of this rapidly expanding business. In this highly visible Financial Accounting role you will have exposure to all areas of the business, taking ownership for all core statutory accounting processes of the group including:
- Lead on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the group.
- Preparation of consolidated accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Statutory accounts production and liaise with external auditors.
- Support with group-wide technical accounting queries and implementation of accounting standards.
- Ensuring UK GAAP / IFRS compliance
- Lead on year-end and interim statutory reporting.
- Cashflow reporting, tax schedules, and compliance documentation.
- Developing controls, processes, and reporting tools (Dynamics Business Central 365) to meet the evolving needs of the business.
With this being a new role there could be additional responsibilities depending on what skills and expertise the successful applicant brings to the business. The Finance Director feels this opportunity would best suit a Big 4/Top 10 trained ACA or ACCA professional looking for a first move intro industry but will also consider practice trained ACA/ACCA Industry based Financial Accountants/Group Accountants who have already made the step. Aside from excellent technical accounting skills applicants should be excellent communicators, with the ability to forge strong relationships with stakeholders across a large, rapidly expanding, multi-site business. You will also be ambitious, driven, and eager to grow within a complex and evolving organisation where you can add real value/make an impact.
