Interim (temporary to permanent) Finance Manager/Financial Controller opportunity with a £30m t/o rapidly expanding e-commerce business in Merseyside. There is permanent requirement but due to time restraints our client is looking to bring someone in on less than 1 months notice ideally, hence looking for applicants who can join quickly. Reporting directly to the FD and heading a small finance team, your remit will include:
- Monthly management accounts
- Profit & Loss analysis and reporting by business area.
- Variance analysis – including commentary on budget variances.
- Month end journals.
- Balance sheet control and reconciliations.
- Managing 2 Accounts Assistants (Accounts payable/ receivable and payroll).
- Marketing and promotion ROI analysis.
- Stock Management.
- Pricing and margin analysis for new products.
- Maintenance of product costs.
- Profitability analysis - channel and product category level.
- Quarterly UK VAT return.
- Monthly/Quarterly sales tax returns for US and EU markets.
- Liaising with external auditors to produce year end statutory accounts.
- Supporting the FD with MI pack development.
- Developing current financial controls and procedures to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Applicants should ideally be fully qualified CIMA/ACCA - or later stage active studiers – although “QBE” with the relevant skills and sector knowledge will also be considered. Previous experience in a supervisory role essential as are excellent communication skills and the ability to build cross-functional relationships, working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the best possible results. Ecommerce or retail sector experience essential due to the business partnering/commercial element and Xero experience would be beneficial. An annual salary to £52k (possibly a little flexibility depending on experience) is complemented with good benefits. There is no sponsorship available with this opportunity.
