Our client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of custom engineered equipment for Aerospace, Life Sciences, and Automotive industries, is seeking a Quality Control Manager to join their team onsite in Southampton, PA.
The company manufactures custom-engineed machinery, such as flight training simulators, environmental testing chambers, and sterilization equipment, all of which incorporate pressurized or altitude chamber components. Every project is unique, offering technical depth, variety, and the opportunity to influence the quality culture at a highly visible, strategic level.
This position has opened as part of their 2025 succession planning. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the Quality function, drive process improvements, mentor a small team, manage monthly and quarterly reporting, conduct audits and root cause analyses, and ensure every system meets high standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Govern the company’s Quality Management System, ensuring ISO 9001:2015 compliance and alignment with standards such as ASME Section 8, ISO 13485 (FDA), CE Marking, IEC/UL/EN 60601-1, PED, Mil-Stds, and PVHO.
- Design, implement, and improve QA processes across all departments, including audits, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), root cause analyses, and inspections/testing of systems to meet stringent quality standards.
- Track and report quality metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis to monitor trends, identify risks, and drive process improvements.
- Oversee documentation and record control, ensuring procedures, work instructions, and quality records are accurate, up to date, and accessible.
- Lead supplier quality initiatives, including audits, rejection monitoring, and collaboration with purchasing to drive improvements.
- Manage employee training and awareness programs to ensure consistent quality practices and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the company’s primary representative for regulatory and customer audits, coordinating responses and corrective actions.
- Implement risk management strategies to proactively prevent quality issues and maintain inspection readiness.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and other teams to ensure product quality, process consistency, and integration of QA practices.
- Evaluate and integrate new tools or technologies to enhance QA processes, documentation, and operational efficiency.
Requirements - 5+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in a custom manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on engineered-to-order machinery.
- Expertise in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems and ASME standards, ideally including ASME Section 8; DoD experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with IEC/UL/EN 60601-1 and the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).
- Knowledge of ISA, SPC, DOE, ARM concepts, and Metrology is a plus.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to operate at both a strategic level and as a hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” leader.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Salary: $115,000 – $125,000 + annual performance bonus
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
