Our client, a well-established contractor specializing in commercial and industrial insulation, is seeking a Project Manager to join their growing team onsite in Aston, PA.
 
In this role, you’ll manage multiple customer accounts across Southeast Pennsylvania, Northeast Maryland, and Northern Delaware, overseeing a range of mechanical insulation projects. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact from estimating and bid strategy through project execution and closeout—working closely with mechanical contractors, general contractors, and internal estimating and field teams to ensure on-time, profitable, and high-quality outcomes.
 
This is a strong fit for someone with at least 4 years of estimating and project management experience in mechanical insulation, who understands union labor dynamics and enjoys balancing technical project work with customer relationship-building.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple commercial and industrial insulation projects across Southeast Pennsylvania, Northeast Maryland, and Northern Delaware, typically ranging from $3M to $10M ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mechanical contractors to secure repeat business and uncover new opportunities.
• Lead estimating efforts using MIKE software and Excel, including preparing proposals, attending pre-bid meetings, and coordinating vendor pricing and bond requests.
• Develop project schedules as required by contract specifications or company policy.
• Oversee jobsite execution by coordinating with estimators, field teams, and subcontractors to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with environmental health and safety regulations and company policies throughout all project phases.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project and operational performance.
• Track labor productivity, material costs, direct and indirect expenses, and margins to ensure accurate estimating and profitable project execution.
• Manage project documentation, change orders, billing, and client communications proactively, mitigating potential construction claims.
• Maintain regular and transparent communication with customers regarding project progress and potential impacts.
• Oversee invoicing and timely collection of receivables, collaborating with administrative support as needed.
• Represent the company professionally at job walks, pre-bid meetings, and client events

 
Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience estimating in the mechanical insulation field, including understanding specifications, takeoff, and proposal preparation.
• Experience managing insulation projects in a commercial industrial setting.
• Proficiency with MIKE estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of union labor dynamics and experience working with subcontractors.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships independently.
• Organized, accountable, and comfortable working both in the office and in the field.
• Must be proactive and adaptable—able to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

 
Salary Range: $80K–$100K base + annual field profit incentive (historically $25K–$50K)
Location: Aston, PA
Onsite: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, including frequent field time
