My client, a leader in custom equipment manufacturing for Aerospace Training Simulators and Steam Sterilizers, is seeking a self-motivated and customer-focused Field Service Technician to install, support, maintain, and repair equipment at client sites across the Southwest U.S. and beyond.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex electro-mechanical systems, including both hardware and software components. You will work directly with clients in the military, aerospace and life science industries to ensure systems are operating optimally.
The ideal candidate will have experience in preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment. You should have strong electrical and mechanical abilities, including the ability to drill holes, solder, crimp, and tap. Additionally, you should be skilled in motor repair and wiring, as well as using tools such as a multimeter, drill, soldering iron, and capacitor. Experience with PLCs, industrial PC control systems, AC/DC circuit analysis, and the ability to read electrical schematics and P&ID drawings is a plus.
Based out of your home location, you should expect regular travel to client sites, including overnight travel across the U.S, as well as international travel to locations such as Mexico and Costa Rica. This role offers the autonomy to manage your work independently while playing a key role in both routine maintenance and installations of new equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to client sites locally, as well as across the U.S. and internationally to perform preventive maintenance and assist with new client installations.
- Verify the functionality of all systems, including computers, networks, input/output devices, pneumatic systems, vacuum systems, and motion platforms.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in system components, including PLCs and industrial PCs.
- Utilize schematics, P&ID drawings, and electronic testing equipment to perform repairs.
- Collaborate with remote technical teams when advanced support is needed.
- Update and document system configurations, maintenance actions, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism while working independently.
- Travel to the company HQ in Southampton for training on new equipment prior to installation.
- Expect overnight travel, both within the U.S. and internationally, including destinations such as Costa Rica and Mexico.
Qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years of field service or similar maintenance experience with industrial, machinery, automotive, or automaton equipment with strong electrical and mechanical abilities
- Able to travel regularly within the U.S. and occasionally internationally.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, soldering, brazing, and standard plumbing tools.
- Experience with PLCs, industrial PC control systems, and AC/DC circuit analysis is a plus
- A working proficiency in Spanish is a plus
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic networking knowledge.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and obtain military base access (US Citizen).
- Must have a passport and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Work Hours: Full-Time (Weekdays, Regular Work Hours)

Travel Requirements: 100% travel to client sites, including local, overnight, and international.
