Our client, a leading custom equipment manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Technician to join their team in Southampton, PA.
You will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and commissioning of Environmental Test Equipment custom-designed for industry leaders in HVAC and automotive such as Trane, NASCAR, IndyCar, and F1 racing!
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, along with a background in electrical wiring and the assembly of control components and devices. This role is based in Southampton, PA, with travel to client sites for installations approximately 4-6 times a year for about 2 weeks at a time.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the engineering and onsite team to assemble and wire control components
- Use schematics and technical specifications to guide accurate assembly and wiring of control devices and components.
- Ensuring new testing chambers and other equipment are fully built and functional before deployment.
- Travel 4-6 times a year to client sites to install, diagnose, and commission new equipment
- Ensure operational readiness and resolving any issues that arise onsite.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on existing equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for installation processes, onsite assembly, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements: - 3+ years of assembly and wiring experience for manufacturing equipment or machinery.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude, including knowledge of industrial controls systems (PC & PLC)
- Ability to travel 4-6 times a year for 2-3 weeks at a time (25% travel)
- Ability to read and interpret wire schematics and technical specifications
- Experience in installing, diagnosing, and/or commissioning new equipment preferred
- Familiarity with HVAC or automotive systems is a plus.
Hourly Rate: $35 - $40hr with overtime eligible
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8a-5pm
Location: Southampton PA (Onsite) plus travel to clients 4-6x a year.
