About the role
The Senior Program Manager will play a key strategic role in working to develop and lead major programs across our portfolio of international digital development programs predominately taking place in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, execution, and ongoing delivery of programs and projects of work, ensuring they meet the strategic objectives of CyberCX and our development partners. This role requires a deep understanding of development principles, complex program management, and cross-jurisdictional stakeholder engagement.

Duties

• Lead the delivery and transition to support multiple complex and interdependent projects and engagements
• Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams (including technical/domain specialists) to deliver several discrete projects in multiple countries, with partners located in Australia and abroad
• Ensure projects deliver stellar client experiences while meeting time, scope and budget requirements
• Develop detailed project, program and transition plans, track progress and manage changes in scope, schedule and cost using the specified project management processes and tools
• Development of project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring delivery feasibility
• Lead and coordinate the activities of multiple project teams
• Perform risk management across individual and interdependent projects to minimise project risks, identify and recommend delivery and process improvements
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including steering-level schedules, plans and reports. Where necessary and approved, utilise modified delivery

Skills & experience

• Qualifications in Information Technology, Public Administration, Project Management, Business Administration, International Development or a related field
• Experience in international development, working with or for international aid or development organisations in both the public and private sectors
• Technical Vendor certifications (current or expired), preferred but not required
• Project Management Certifications (such as PMI (PMP), AIPM (Reg PM CPPM), Agile SAFE, Scrum Master or Practitioner, PRINCE2® Practitioner)
• Proven record of successful implementation of complex projects and programs
• 5+ years’ experience of successfully managing large Professional Services or IT Project Teams
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with an ability to build credibility both internally and externally at all levels

Desirable

• Experience with aid/development organisations like World Bank, US AID, UK FCDO, MFAT AusAID or DFAT.
