The Technical Lead is responsible for supporting a variety of projects and priorities within the team as required, such as mentoring, providing L4 support and guidance, complex fault resolution, subject matter expertise and continuous improvements.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the migration of MSS workloads from legacy locations into their future states.
- Own and drive the MSE toolsets, e.g., Azure, PRTG, Auvik, etc.
- Develop high-level business relations across high-impact projects that involve MSE.
- Function at the highest level of Engineering, performing work requiring a very high level of technical knowledge of a specific area and/or ability to integrate at a high level the knowledge of several areas.
- Onboarding new clients into MSE.
- Provide 4th level support and management of client networks across diverse range of infrastructure including Security, Networking, Compute, Storage, Cloud, etc.
- Proactively investigate and provide recommendations on client infrastructure performance and stability. Perform analysis on security and network event data collected from network elements and security devices, ensuring alignment to best practice standards.
- Design, implementation, configuration, and administration of infrastructure across multiple technology platforms.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation routines, etc.
- Develop and contribute to processes and review their application to ensure that the controls, policies, and procedures are operating effectively.
- Follow and enforce ITIL aligned Incident, Request Fulfilment, Problem and Change Management process for any changes required on customer’s network.
- Mentor and guide less experienced members of the team.
Skills & experience - ITIL Foundation Qualifications
- Suitable vendor certifications preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in IT engineering / operations or similar field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in responding to setbacks in an agile and resilient manner
Technical: Highly Desirable - PCNSE – Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer
- CCNP – Cisco Certified Network Professional
- CCIE – Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert
- Microsoft Azure Security Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect
- RHCE – Red Hat Certified Engineer
- Splunk Admin or Architect
