Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, the Sales Director is a senior leader within the Customer Team.
This role is responsible for driving the strategic growth and evolution of CyberCX’s WA customer portfolio. You will oversee business and solution development, leading growth initiatives from prospecting and pitching through to securing new business and expanding revenue across existing enterprise accounts and new market opportunities.
The primary mandate is to provide strategic leadership in designing sales plans and developing innovative sales strategies that increase revenue within targeted market segments, while contributing to CyberCX’s broader organisational goals and long‑term objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to achieve CyberCX’s goals by effectively managing, collaborating with and engaging regional teams; foster trusted partnerships, maintain clear communication channels, and align resources to create an empowered and high‑performing environment.
- Advise on, lead and develop long‑term customer relationship strategies aligned with CyberCX’s business objectives.
- Identify new product and service opportunities by analysing customer needs, market trends and competitor activity, and recommend relevant solutions and product lines.
- Implement, monitor and uphold business‑winning standards, including reporting performance and insights to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
- Drive sales objectives by contributing market intelligence and strategic recommendations; implement efficient, customer‑centric standards; resolve issues; identify trends; and support improvements to sales systems and change initiatives.
- Coach and mentor high‑performing Customer teams within a complex matrix environment; guide the development of effective sales strategies, multi‑tiered approaches, measurable success metrics, targeted campaigns, risk mitigation plans and accurate forecasting.
- Build market visibility by participating in local and regional industry events, organisations and professional networks.
- Strengthen cross‑Practice and cross‑Function collaboration with key leaders across CyberCX; proactively identify opportunities to add value; and facilitate communication, partnership and knowledge‑sharing to enhance customer engagement and service delivery.
Preferred Qualifications, Experience & Skills - Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in sales and/or engineering within the cyber security or broader technology sector.
- Strong understanding of cyber security solutions and the full sales, customer relationship and customer experience lifecycle.
- Experience within a technology, business intelligence or consultancy/advisory environment is preferred; exposure to large‑scale change or transformation programs is advantageous.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including the ability to develop complex cost models and pricing structures.
- A desire to play a pivotal role in a fast‑growing, dynamic organisation, with the capability to operate independently in senior client settings and manage both client and consultant relationships.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility with senior leaders and internal teams.
- Ability to foster shared understanding and commitment to CyberCX’s purpose, values and agreed processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into innovative, business‑enhancing solutions.
- Demonstrated resilience and agility in responding to challenges and setbacks.
