About the role
As a Principal Capability Engineer within our Managed Security Services (MSS) practice, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing and evolving the security platforms that protect some of Australia's leading organisations.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Managed Security Services Capability, you'll work closely with customers, technical specialists and internal delivery teams to architect and support enterprise-scale managed security solutions. You'll provide technical leadership across complex customer environments, mentor engineering teams, and help shape the future direction of CyberCX's managed security capabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced security engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with customers and influencing security strategy across multiple environments.
What you'll do
- Design, implement and support enterprise managed security solutions for MSS customers primarily focused on Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.
- Consult with customers to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Build and innovate new solutions to improve the service that we deliver.
- Provide technical leadership across SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, WAF and other security technologies.
- Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineering support for complex security environments.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
- Mentor other engineers within the Capability team and provide guidance across customer engagements.
About you You'll be an experienced security engineer who enjoys working across customer environments, designing scalable security solutions and mentoring others.
You'll ideally bring:
- 5+ years' experience designing, implementing or supporting enterprise security platforms.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Sentinel, Defender XDR.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud and security operations.
- Experience and understanding of Security Operations.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Experience working autonomously while managing multiple priorities.
- Industry certifications and relevant vendor certifications will be highly regarded.
