How You Will Make an Impact
Work with our customer base to deliver cloud security services in line with the agreed scope, CyberCX standards, and relevant industry standards or frameworks.
You will have solid experience in conducting security assessments of a client’s existing cloud environment (Azure, AWS or GCP) and workloads, making recommendations to improve their security posture and reduce security risks. On occasion, this may also include remediation work to address the security recommendations.
Day-to-day you will:
- Work with our customers to design and deliver cloud-based security solutions (either native security controls or third-party CSPM, CNAPP or CIEM solutions)
- Risk assess the client’s existing cloud security services, workloads, or solutions in line with relevant industry standards or frameworks to make recommendations to improve the client’s security posture.
- Prepare and present high-quality deliverables to customer teams. For example, presentations, pre-sales proposals, assessment findings, recommendations, and strategies.
- Manage and coach junior staff to deliver engagement outcomes.
- Under the guidance of more senior team members, support internal research and development, practice capability building, innovation and process improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications - Demonstrated experience securing AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Excel at structured writing, consistently delivering clear and concise responses under time constraints.
- Possess practical knowledge of security compliance frameworks and standards (such as the SOC 2, ISO 27001), with bonus points for familiarity with regulated Australian frameworks such as the Essential Eight, Australian Signals Directorate Information Security Manual (ISM), or The Victorian Protective Data Security Framework (VPDSF).
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience dealing with a diverse range of information / cyber security projects and challenges.
- Experience with at least 2 of the following:
- Cloud Networking: Designing and securing cloud networks, such as intra and entra network security.
- Cloud Application Security: Securing cloud-based applications, addressing application security threats (such as OWASP Top 10), and implementing secure APIs.
- Container Security: Security of containers and container orchestration platforms (such as Kubernetes).
- Identity and Access Management (IAM): Implementing cloud IAM solutions, permissions, and role-based security.
- Cloud Security Operations: Deploying and/or managing cloud security visibility tooling, web application firewalls (WAFs).
- Cloud Logging and Monitoring: Deploying and/or managing cloud-native or third-party logging and monitoring capabilities.
- Cloud Security Solution: Implementation, managing, and/or tuning of third-party cloud security tools (e.g., CSPM, CNAPP, CIEM, or DevSecOps solutions).
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt new solutions, tools, and architectural patterns to effectively meet customer and project requirements.
- Thrives in navigating ambiguity and taking full ownership of tasks from start to finish.
