CyberCX is excited to offer an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Manager - Strategy & Consulting to lead a program of ongoing instructional training capabilities for the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

Based in Adelaide, this role will be instrumental in building long-term Strategy & Consulting capabilities in Adelaide as part of CyberCX's key growth strategy.

In this role, you will:

• Play a critical role in supporting the Australian Defence Force by delivering on-site technical and strategic cyber security training to personnel.
• Drive the establishment of Strategy & Consulting capability for CyberCX in Adelaide.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with Defence and other relevant organisations.
• Contribute to the delivery of high-quality engagement outcomes, team development, and strategic growth objectives for CyberCX's Strategy & Consulting practice.

Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Manager – Strategy & Consulting, you will:

• Serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor to senior stakeholders in Australia's defence sector, and broader public and private sectors.
• Provide instructional training to Defence personnel, effectively communicating complex technical concepts in an accessible and engaging manner.
• Evaluate customers’ business needs and provide advice on strategic cyber security planning.
• Lead and manage engagement lifecycles, including scoping, planning, implementation, and project management.
• Manage engagement teams and develop key relationships, fostering significant client trust and follow-on work opportunities.
• Plan and deliver exceptional educational content aligned with cyber security fundamentals, including principles such as least privilege, authentication, authorisation, DNS, networking, HTTP, and encryption.
• Drive strategic initiatives and business capability improvement to position CyberCX for success in securing future Defence contracts.
• Contribute to the sustainable growth of the Strategy & Consulting practice through market and value proposition development.
• Act as a mentor, leader, and coach to team members, fostering a collaborative learning environment and excellence in delivery.

About You
To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Proven stakeholder engagement and public speaking skills, with the ability to deliver high-impact and meaningful training outcomes.
• A strong understanding of cyber security fundamentals (e.g., principles of least privilege, authentication, and authorisation) and familiarity with technical concepts such as DNS, networking, HTTP, and encryption.
• Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to lead, deliver, and manage engagement financials.
• Experience in supporting strategic growth, client development, and the ability to understand engagements within a broader business context.
• A desire to be part of building a foundational capability in Adelaide, contributing to CyberCX’s continued growth and strategic success.
• Strong alignment with CyberCX’s values, including professionalism, innovation, emotional intelligence, and collaboration.
• Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) is required.

Desirable Skills:

• Background working with or within the Australian Defence Force (ADF) or experience liaising with Defence as a customer or partner.

Advantageous:

• An educational background, showcasing experience in designing and delivering training or formal instructional settings.
