How you will make an impact
Collaborate with a team of experienced forensic professionals to manage digital evidence from identification through analysis, assist in preparing comprehensive findings, and contribute to a variety of activities that are critical to delivering client engagements and advancing the DFIR practice.
Day to day you will:
- Assist in delivering digital forensic engagements, covering the end-to-end lifecycle of evidence management, identification, preservation, acquisition, processing, analysis, and presentation, from a broad range of devices and data sources, including computers, mobile platforms, and cloud environment.
- Maintain data integrity through proper documentation and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Assist in preparing clear, defensible technical reports and communicate results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to other duties and produce work product relating to the general business operations of the DFIR practice, which may include business development, client liaison, office administration, setup and management of systems for evidence collection, analysis and storage, and other capabilities related to the delivery of Digital Forensic services.
- Participate in professional training and development, including attainment of industry certifications where appropriate, to develop Digital Forensic skills and experience.
- Support on-site engagements locally and overseas.
Skills & Qualifications - Tertiary or related qualifications and/or experience in Digital Forensic Investigations or similar.
- 2+ years proven experience in digital forensics or related investigative IT work.
- Possess strong knowledge of digital forensic principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings in a clear and professional manner.
- Hands-on experience with forensic tools such as Magnet Forensics AXIOM, Cellebrite UFED, Cellebrite Physical Analyzer, X-Ways Forensics, Nuix Workstation and GetData Forensic Explorer.
- Relevant vendor certifications (e.g., GCFA, CFCE, CCO, CCPA) are highly desirable.
- Ability to attain a further advanced SANS or equivalent DF certification.
