CyberCX is Australia’s leading independent cyber security consultancy organisation. To support our rapid growth, we are looking for a motivated and passionate software developer. In this role, you’ll assist developing software that supports internal and customer operations in the security space.

You don’t need extensive experience in security, but a passion to learn, a great attitude, and a keen interest in security is essential. You will receive formal and on the job training that will help you grow your career in the cyber security/software development field.  

Key responsibilities:   

• Code, test and deploy software programs either in one major program or in a variety of programs across platforms.
• Maintain software programs and enhance/modify as required, engaging in test-driven development and coding.
• Participate in the software development lifecycle.
• Document software design and implementation.
• Continuously improve code quality and address defects.
• Discuss software requirements with stakeholders and participate in sprint planning.

About you:  

• Tertiary qualification in cyber security IT, computer engineering or related field or currently working towards your qualification.
• A general technical background in contemporary ICT technologies.
• Operating system internals knowledge.
• Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Linux command line basics.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript (required)

Desirable qualifications:

• Azure Cloud Certification
• AWS Cloud Certification
• DevOps CI/CD tools technical proficiency
• Splunk Admin Certification (highly desirable)
