How you will make an impact
Reporting to the Managing Consultant, the Cloud Engineer is responsible for engaging with customers to solve their most challenging cloud and security problems, protect their future, and empower them to thrive in an uncertain world. The Cloud Engineer is a cloud infrastructure professional capable of producing high-quality deliverables with some supervision.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Work with our customers to deliver Azure & Microsoft 365 platform security and compliance projects in line with the agreed scope, CyberCX standards, and relevant industry standards or frameworks
- Provide the very best subject matter expertise and advice to our customers
- Work through customer specifications and liaise with consultants and architects to implement solutions in line with defined requirements.
- Author documentation to the highest standard, producing high-quality reports and presentations for customer stakeholders
- Participate in customer meetings and workshops
- Manage customer expectations, communicate effectively, and develop professional relationships with stakeholders
- Participate in the development of intellectual property and repeatable solutions
- Actively collaborate across the various practices within CyberCX, and continuously look for ways to add value
- Facilitate communication, partnerships, and cross-pollination across the business to allow teams to better engage and service customers
- Contribute to a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and accountability through consistent employee engagement
Skills & Qualifications - Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or a related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience
- Relevant intermediate or expert level certification and/or proven hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Azure
- At least 1 years’ experience in implementing and/or supporting cloud services, ideally in a global consulting firm or large technology company
- Understanding of cloud security principles, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, firewalls, and security best practices
- Preferably, understanding of automation, IAC tools, and scripting languages such as Bicep, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Python to automate cloud deployments and optimize operations[CC1]
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to customers and internal teams
