The opportunity
Our Snowmakers are mother nature's little helper! Working mostly through the night alongside the Groomers, our Snowmaker are constantly monitoring the weather conditions, and with the aid of our snow factories and snow guns to generate extra snow coverage to ensure our guests have an unforgettable experience on the slopes.
Having a background in plumbing will give you that edge to understand the machinery but it's not essential as our Resort Operations staff can provide you with the training to upskill you for this role if you're keen to learn.
As a member of the Resort Operation Team, when not making snow, our Snowmaker help out with other tasks to keep the resort in ship shape condition, such as waste management.
As a Snowmaker you will be working outdoors so to keep you warm on those cold dark nights, we will kit you out with toasty warm snow pants, a jacket, and boots for the season!
The advantage of working nights means you’ll have the days to enjoy the resort activities such as skiing/snowboarding, Tank Hill terrain Park, tobogganing and snowshoeing.
Nestled only 2.5 hours from the heart of Melbourne, Mt Baw Baw is Melbourne’s closest downhill ski, snowboard, toboggan, and snow play resort....'make tracks' this winter for a unique employment opportunity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver excellence: Maintaining an even snow surface, and snow depth across ski terrain, pushing out man-made snow & maintaining XC trails
- Team work: Collaborate with the team, to ensure that all work undertaken is in accordance with regulations and that permits associated with the work have been issued and performed in a safe manner.
- Coordinate equipment: Oversee daily plant and equipment operations, including conducting safety checks of equipment.
What amazing skills and experience will score you this role? - Previous snowmaker experience (desirable)
- Plumbing experience (desirable)
- Laser sharp attention to detail attention to detail and safety consciousness at all times
- A LOVE of the outdoors, including the rain, hail, and shine (and obviously SNOW)
The successful candidate will be required to: - have full Australian working rights. International applicants are required to obtain their own visa with valid Australian work rights.
- Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check – Employee type
- Have an Australian drivers licence (Victorian licence preferred)
- Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.
- Available to work night, weekends and school holidays.
- Available from June - 30 September 2025 (or declared snow season)

Salary Range: $41.79 includes casual loading
