About the Role
As our resident Registered Nurse for our new Shenton Park Residential Facility, you'll provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to residents living with a range of neurological conditions, including Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neuron Disease, Huntington's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Acquired Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injuries. Don't have neurological experience? Don't worry, we'll provide you with all the necessary training you will need.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll support residents with complex physical and clinical needs while promoting dignity, independence, choice, and quality of life. You'll play a key role in developing and reviewing care plans, coordinating clinical services, and providing leadership and support to Care Support Workers.
You'll be based at MSWA's new 20-bed accommodation in Shenton Park, providing specialised care in a modern and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans
- Review and update clinical assessments and care plans to ensure best practice care
- Deliver clinical care including medication administration, wound care, continence, stoma and enteral management
- Provide clinical guidance, supervision and support to Care Support Workers
- Liaise with GPs, pharmacists, specialists and allied health professionals regarding resident care
- Facilitate referrals and support a multidisciplinary approach to care
- Manage clinical supplies, medical consumables and equipment
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Must-Haves - Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
