About the Role
As a Residential Neurological Nurse, you'll provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to residents living with a range of neurological conditions, including Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neuron Disease, Huntington's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Acquired Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injuries.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll support residents with complex physical and clinical needs while promoting dignity, independence, choice, and quality of life. You'll play a key role in developing and reviewing care plans, coordinating clinical services, and providing leadership and support to Care Support Workers.
You'll be based at MSWA's new 20-bed accommodation in Shenton Park, providing specialised care in a modern and supportive environment.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans
• Review and update clinical assessments and care plans to ensure best practice care
• Deliver clinical care including medication administration, wound care, continence, stoma and enteral management
• Provide clinical guidance, supervision and support to Care Support Workers
• Liaise with GPs, pharmacists, specialists and allied health professionals regarding resident care
• Facilitate referrals and support a multidisciplinary approach to care
• Manage clinical supplies, medical consumables and equipment
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Must-Haves

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
