About the Role
The Clinical Trainer will design, deliver, and assess competency-based training programs that build capability across MSWA's workforce. You will facilitate engaging clinical and compliance training, assess staff competencies, develop learning resources, and support employees to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred services in line with NDIS and other regulatory requirements.
Working collaboratively with operational leaders, clinicians, and quality teams, you will help foster a culture of continuous learning, compliance, and clinical excellence, ensuring our people have the skills and confidence to achieve the best outcomes for those we support. Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Assessment

• Deliver competency-based training programs aligned with NDIS and Aged Care requirements using a range of adult learning methodologies.
• Facilitate manual handling training that promotes participant safety, dignity, and best-practice care.
• Assess and validate clinical competencies, including high-intensity support skills, in both classroom and workplace environments.
• Provide advanced theoretical and practical clinical training to clinical staff.
• Collaborate with clinicians and trainers to ensure standardised training delivery and competency assessment practices across the organisation.

Training Design & Content Development

• Deliver engaging competency-based training and assessments across disability and aged care services.
• Facilitate manual handling and high-intensity support skills training to ensure safe, person-centred care.
• Coach and support employees to achieve and maintain required clinical competencies.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to ensure consistent training and assessment practices across MSWA.

Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Provide insights and recommendations to support continuous improvement initiatives and enhance clinical and client safety outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge of legislative changes, industry standards, and NDIS competency requirements.
• Partner with Quality, Safeguarding & Risk teams and People & Culture stakeholders to support compliance, risk management, and psychosocial safety initiatives.
• Contribute to broader organisational development, workforce capability, and diversity strategies.

About You
You are an experienced clinician and educator who is passionate about developing others and improving service quality through learning.
You will bring:

• Tertiary qualification as a Registered Nurse (RN) and current registration with AHPRA
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
• Experience delivering competency-based clinical training and assessments
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain
• Strong understanding of NDIS standards and complex care delivery
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence
• Right to work in Australia
