About MSWA
At MSWA, we’re committed to providing tailored care and support for individuals living with neurological conditions, such as MS, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, Motor Neuron Disease, Acquired Brain Injury, and Stroke.
Through our allied health services, accommodation, service centres, community programs and research contributions, we support thousands of individuals and families across WA each year.
Volunteer Opportunities
By submitting a Volunteer Expression of Interest, you’ll be considered for a range of volunteering opportunities, which may include:
- Supporting MSWA Community events such as Step Up, MSWA Albany Swim and other fundraising or awareness activities
- Engaging with our Clients through social activities and programs
- Gardening and maintenance of MSWA facilities and Outreach Centre
- Kitchen and hospitality assistance
- Participating in campaigns to raise awareness for neurological conditions
Opportunities may be
one-off, short-term or ongoing, depending on your availability and interests.
Flexibility That Suits You We understand everyone’s availability is different. Volunteers can choose to:
- Volunteer on a regular basis or for one‑off events
- Support weekday or weekend activities
- Get involved as opportunities arise
Any time you can offer makes a difference.
What we are looking for: We value volunteers who are:
- Enthusiastic and reliable
- Caring, compassionate and respectful
- Keen to make a positive difference in the community
- Aligned with MSWA’s values of Respect, Listening, Difference and Accountability
Previous experience isn’t essential for most roles as a positive attitude and willingness to help are what matter most.
What Happens After You Submit an Expression of Interest? - This is an Expression of Interest, not an immediate placement
- Once submitted, your details will be reviewed, and you’ll be contacted when a suitable volunteering opportunity becomes available
- For large community events (such as Step Up), volunteers may also be invited to register directly via the event website
- Training and induction will be provided where required
- Some roles may require background checks (e.g. Police Check), depending on the nature of the role
Inclusion & Accessibility MSWA is committed to creating safe, inclusive and accessible volunteering opportunities.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, ages and abilities and encourage diversity within our volunteer community.
Ready to Get Involved? If you believe in
life, not limits and want to make a meaningful contribution, we’d love to hear from you.
