Make an Impact as Payroll Officer at MSWA
We are seeking a detailed and customer-focused Payroll Officer to support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services across MSWA. You will be working closely with the Senior Payroll Officer and will contribute to the end-to-end payroll processing, maintenance of employee records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industrial instruments and organisational policies.
This role is ideal for something who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys problem solving and takes pride in delivering high-quality payroll outcomes.
This is a permanent part-time role (45 hours per fortnight) based in our Belmont Office
Key Responsibilities
- Support end to end fortnightly payroll processing, including adjustments and off cycle runs
- Assist with termination, leave, workers compensation and other statutory payments
- Maintain accurate payroll data, employee records and cost centre allocations
- Prepare and verify payroll reports ad support EFT and PAYG processing
- Ensure payroll compliance with legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
- Provide timely support to employees
Our ‘must’ haves: - Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar payroll role
- High attention to detail with proven accuracy in data entry
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Basic understanding of payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and statutory obligations
- Strong problem-solving skills
Our ‘nice to’ haves: - Payroll system training or certification
- Experience working within a Payroll, Finance or People and Culture Team
- Experience in the Not for profit or NDIS space.
