About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead MSWAs day-to-day financial control, reporting and compliance activities. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of MSWA’s financial reporting and statutory obligations.
You will be leading the end-to-end monthly close process and oversee accounts payable and receivable activities. You will support audits and regulatory reporting, and drive continuous improvement in systems, processes and controls. This role will ensure robust financial governance and compliance across the organisation.
Leading a small, capable finance team, you’ll provide hands-on leadership, technical guidance and quality oversight all whilst fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

This is a full-time role (75 hours per fortnight) based in our Belmont Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly financial close and prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements
- Deliver financial analysis, identifying key trends, risks and anomalies
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including payments, billing and revenue streams (NDIS, accommodation and services)
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and lodge statutory reports (BAS, ABS, Aged Care Financial Reports) and coordinate external audits
- Lead, coach and develop a team of finance professionals
- Parter with stakeholders across the organisation to support effective financial decision making
- Support and enhance finance systems, controls and processes, identifying opportunities for automation and improvement
Must-haves - CA or CPA qualification, or equivalent tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
- Significant experience in financial control, reporting and compliance roles
- Proven experience leading and developing finance teams
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong analytical capability
- Experience working with ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central)
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment
